The Sungai Petani Golf Club has over 1,000 members of whom slightly more than half of them are civil servants while non-servants make up the rest of the numbers. Known as the ‘Green Lung of Sungai Petani’ it is one of the exclusive clubs here which are catered for the people of the state and others. As such, it has already been recognized for its efforts and hosted several golf events like the Ang Pow Golf Tournament, the Deepavali Golf Classic and the Aidil Fitri Golf Tournament, among others.

As it is more of a community golf course, members get to play at the 9-hole green where there are other facilities here that include a driving range, tennis courts, swimming pool and a Golfers’ Terrace where golfers can hang out after a day of golf. Apart from that, there is a Pro Shop for all golfing supplies as well.
